D200 Employees Recognized for Service

More than 1000 total years of hard work were recognized recently at the District’s annual back-to-school kick-off meeting for all staff.  Fifty-seven staff members from all areas of the district were recognized and thanked for their contributions.  Special congratulations went to Kirk Benda, Joy Fister, Kathy Shea and Tom White, for 30 years of service.  Please see “Read more” below for photos and a listing of all who were honored.

A reminder to D200 staff members – The motto of the District 200 Education Foundation is “Making Things Happen That Ordinarily Would Not.”  Let them help YOU make things happen in District 200 by applying for a 2016-17 Ed Foundation Impact Grant.  The grant application process is now open.

New System Allows Parents Easy Access to Bus Routing Information

District 200 is pleased to announce the implementation of a new online system which will allow parents easy access to current bus routing information. The information available to parents reflects all changes in busing routes.  However, it does not provide real-time tracking of buses. See "Read more" below for log-in information.  The log-in link can also be accessed from all school websites by using the blue navigational bar on the left side of the page, labeled "Bus Route Info."

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! We are very eager to begin the new school year. You are welcome to come to our first informational session to meet your child's teacher during the following times: Kindergarten: Wednesday, August 17th between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. (First day of class is Thursday, August 18th)

Help Your Bus Driver Find You!

As we prepare for a new school year, the D200 Transportation Department has an important reminder for our rural families: Please make sure that your address is clearly marked in front of your driveway or road so the bus driver can easily find your stop.

Kindergarten and Tuition Based Preschool Registration Information

District 200 is holding Kindergarten Registration on February 3 and 4 for parents of children entering kindergarten in the fall at Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center.  Parents may register their child on either date.  The District will begin accepting applications for its 2016-17 tuition based preschool program on January 22, 2016.

Nancy Kreznor is Recipient of School Nursing Award

Nancy Kreznor, School Nurse at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, has been named by the McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) as the 2015 recipient of the Lina Rodgers Award.  A pioneer in public health nursing, Lina Rodgers was the first school nurse, appointed in 1902 to oversee the children at four schools in the New York City public school system.  The MCDH awards the honor annually in Rodgers’ name to a school health professional.
