Space Still Available in Tuition-Based Preschool Program

Space is still available in the tuition-based preschool program at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center for 2016-17.  Parents of children who are age 3 to 5 may pick up an application form and materials at the school at 2045 N. Seminary Avenue, or visit the Dierzen website at: http://dierzen.woodstockschools.org/pre-kindergarten. Enrollment in the tuition-based program is open to families who live in and outside of District 200 boundaries.

Technology Night Presentations Available for Online Viewing

Woodstock District 200 presented its first D200 Technology Night on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Olson Elementary School.  The evening focused on the district’s 1:1 technology initiative and the exciting new ways our students are learning. Presentations from the evening are now available for viewing.

Kindergarten and Tuition Based Preschool Registration Information

District 200 is holding Kindergarten Registration on February 3 and 4 for parents of children entering kindergarten in the fall at Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center.  Parents may register their child on either date.  The District will begin accepting applications for its 2016-17 tuition based preschool program on January 22, 2016.

Nancy Kreznor is Recipient of School Nursing Award

Nancy Kreznor, School Nurse at the Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center, has been named by the McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) as the 2015 recipient of the Lina Rodgers Award.  A pioneer in public health nursing, Lina Rodgers was the first school nurse, appointed in 1902 to oversee the children at four schools in the New York City public school system.  The MCDH awards the honor annually in Rodgers’ name to a school health professional.
